On September 22nd, around 2:00 PM EST, my calendar was blocked off, my phone was on Do Not Disturb, and my water bottle was filled with my favorite iced tea. It was the perfect setup to settle in and watch the Vogue World: Milano live stream. I rarely have the chance to watch a runway show for free, so when an opportunity pops up, I drop EVERYTHING to watch live. Vogue World was no exception.

Vogue World is an annual traveling fashion show and fundraiser celebrating global craftsmanship. The Milan show in September celebrated Italian fashion and performing arts. It is the fifth Vogue World production and will be followed up by Vogue World: San Francisco in 2027.

Everyone is talking about the robots at the Milan show, but my (potentially hot take) is that in a show about craftsmanship over time, during the Act literally called “The Age of Intelligence,” robots on the runway make sense. Besides, by focusing on the robotos you miss many other iconic moments of the show.
